TOWARD GOD (Sabbath Laws)
  1. Remember the Sabbath and keep it Holy (Forth Commandment)

    • NT=Mark 2:27-28

    1. Israel to keep the Sabbath as a day of rest.

      4. No purchase of food on the Sabbath.

        1. If hungry, one can eat of the field
          • OT=Duet. 23:25

      5. Cooking forbidden on the Sabbath.
        • OT=Ex. 16:23; 35:3
      6. Certain necessities ( As healing ) lawful on the Sabbath.
        • NT=Matt. 12:10-13; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 13:10-17; 14:1-5; John 5:8-16; 7:22-24
      7. Cattle must rest on the Sabbath.

    2. Sabbath was made for man.

    3. Penalty for not keeping the Sabbath was death.

    4. First day of the week to be observed by Christians in honor of Christ's resurrection from the dead.

    5. Requirements of a Bishop

    7. Requirements of the congregation in the church.

      1. Woman to keep silent.

      2. Woman to pray or prophesy with head covered

      3. Men to pray or prophesy with head uncovered.
        • NT=I Cor. 11:4,7
      4. Not to speak in unknown tongues without an interpreter.
        • NT=I Cor. 14:28
