Note 061
I should not complain of the labor of this
work, if my materials were always derived from such books as
the chronicle of honest Froissard, (vol. iv. c. 67, 72, 74,
79-83, 85, 87, 89,) who read little, inquired much, and
believed all. The original Memoires of the Marechal de
Boucicault (Partie i. c. 22-28) add some facts, but they are
dry and deficient, if compared with the pleasant garrulity
of Froissard.]
