Haithonus, or Aithonus, an Armenian prince,
and afterwards a monk of Premontre, (Fabric, Bibliot. Lat.
Medii Aevi, tom. i. p. 34,) dictated in the French language,
his book de Tartaris, his old fellow-soldiers. It was
immediately translated into Latin, and is inserted in the
Novus Orbis of Simon Grynaeus, (Basil, 1555, in folio.)
