The Sovereignty Education and Defense Ministry (SEDM) is a non-profit, Christian, religious ministry existing outside the jurisdiction of state or federal governments of the United States.  All of its offerings are available only through the internet.  It offers a broad spectrum of educational resources such as electronic books, CDs, DVDs, movies, and federal and state response letters.  Many of its offerings were developed in affiliation with this website, but the works of several other prominent third party personalities are also offered.  Users may not obtain any of the ministry's offerings without signing or at least consenting fully and unconditionally with the terms of the mandatory member agreement.  The mandatory member agreement requires members to declare that they have independently and voluntarily determined that they are "nontaxpayers", that they assume complete responsibility for themselves and for all determinations about their legal status, and that they want to be further educated about the law and their rights and the options available to them.   Their website indicates that the ministry is managed by a board of ordained ministers.  Click here to learn more about SEDM.  All ministry offerings are:

  1. Completely consistent with the research found on this website

  2. Completely consistent with God's laws found in the Holy Bible

  3. Completely consistent with the government's laws and court rulings.  If they call the materials frivolous, then the government will have to call the Constitution and their own codes and laws frivolous.

  4. Of very high quality

  5. Intended for the following religious and first amendment purposes:

    5.1 To help believers to honor and obey God's laws, which is a religious practice, by avoiding government slavery and idolatry

    5.2  To expose, punish, and prosecute evil behavior by Biblical standards.  This is called "hating evil" and is a religious practice.

    5.3  To expose, punish, and prosecute deception by state and federal governments:

    "In the First Amendment, the Founding Fathers gave the free press the protection it must have to fulfill its essential role in our democracy. The press [and this religious ministry] was to serve the governed, not the governors. The Government's power to censor the press was abolished so that the press would remain forever free to censure the Government. The press was protected so that it could bare the secrets of government and inform the people. Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government. And paramount among the responsibilities of a free press is the duty to prevent any part of the government from deceiving the people and sending them off to distant lands to die of foreign fevers and foreign shot and shell. In my view, far from deserving condemnation for their courageous reporting, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other newspapers should be commended for serving the purpose that the Founding Fathers saw so clearly. In revealing the workings of government that led to the Vietnam war, the newspapers nobly did precisely that which the Founders hoped and trusted they would do." [New York Times Co. v. Membership organization that focuses on administrative response to IRS.  John Kotmair runs the organization and has been in the tax honesty movement for over 30 years.  Cost is $925 to join and $70 per year thereafter.  Members sign a power of attorney giving SAPF authority to respond to IRS on behalf of member.  Each responsive letter costs members $40.  Very good service.
